Our Story

Nantucket Canvas Company was originally organized as a teaching tool to help demonstrate to our school aged children the effort it takes to design, develop and manufacture a high quality product in the United States.  So, in order to insure everyone’s commitment and interest, we decided to develop a product line that was rooted in a passion we all share: Life on and around the New England Coast.  Our charge was simple.  We would design and build products that are rugged, simple and classic New England.

Over the past two years, this experiment has grown to be a teaching tool for all of us.  Not only are our children learning more about hard work, dedication and attention to detail, the whole family has been afforded the opportunity to become more engaged in the community.
